It's 11 p.m., do you know where your treefrog is?



This is what I hear from my bed. Even with windows closed these little guys are singing! And I don't mind their song, nor the killdeer screeching every so often (and at 5 a.m.--why?!)

For a while I thought the treefrogs were leaving our neighborhood as each year another house took the place of an empty or abandon lot. But they live on, these little frogs and their song from February until spring. My husband told me that the Pacific NW tree frog's song is the classic frog chorus they use in movies. I tend to believe this. They are just too perfect.
