And it's been so quiet around here, I thought it was just me....

(Below to the right-- Patron Saint of the Technically Challenged)

Okay, like the technically-challenged poet I am, I somehow clicked on "comment moderation," and tonight while wandering through the dashboard of my blog opened a magical door where a ton of wonderful notes from many of you spilled out.

Sheesh, I'm sorry. I wasn't intentionally being quiet or mysterious. And to think, I was getting lonely, but you were all here--you and you and you and the tin man too.

Here are my responses. Of course, it's been days (daze) since you left messages so perhaps these responses will offer you some sort of weird horoscope or special treat. Or maybe you'll just be happy to see your name and know I don't think you're invisible.
In response--

Rebecca & Peter-- thank you for celebrating my last deadline with me. I shall sip champagne with you both! Find me. I'm buying.

Michael-- Yes, Dan Savage is hilarious. And Stinker. I laughed all over again in my kitchen.

Ivy-- You're so welcome!

Robin-- I agree. Paz rocks (I'm very 1986 this evening).

David-- April 1st. Yes. We can do nothing more crazy than write poetry. Gotta love those Hollywooders

J9, Robin, Anne & Ivy-- I've got you, babe. I mean, I've put your names in a hat. Neruda's hat.

From my local paper, this was my favorite quote tonight regarding the recent "spirited" ferry fare meeting:

"Thanks for the great turn-out, enthusiastic statement and thoughtful questions. I apologize for letting the pot boil over. Using the horn was a dumb idea and I'm sincerely sorry."

***Note to self-- the "horn" is never a good idea.
