Misheard Whirled....

So, I'm loving the misheard languages of others today. Mostly, my daughter. I am teaching her to play chess (aka "chest"), though what we are really doing is playing the longest game of "don't touch my horses" as she could really care less whether I take her king. As long as her horses aka "nights" are okay, the game is good.

But it's not just (k)nights , but pawns are "ponds." And tonight we were reading a book about Basho tonight and she said, remember that other poet, "Playdough." Though it took me a moment I figured it out-- "It's actually Plato," I said, "Did you think he was made from clay?" And she laughed hysterically at her mistake.
