I have a poem featured here at COAL HILL REVIEW, an online journal published by Autumn House Press.

Autumn House Press is a fantastic press that recently published a great book of poems NO SWEETER FAT by a friend of mine, Nancy Pagh.



And while I was trying to google a poem by her, I found this interview with her where you can actually hear her reading her incredible work via internet. So listen for yourself, she's fantastic.

"I do believe that when I encounter any group anywhere, that poetry is a vital force of the lives gathered there in the room," she says. "What I can do as a visiting poet is to remind them of that or awaken them to their own (poetry) or encourage them to remember language can be very sustaining even when you feel very alone -- what ways can poetry serve us, all of us, as readers, as participants, as writers. ... I have so much enthusiasm about what poetry gives us all and has given me in my own life."

New Interview with Martha Silano in Southeast Review- Check it out!

Martha Silano, one of my very favorite poets and friends has an interview up on Southeast Review.

It's a great interview and she even mentions a meal from the Sylvia Beach Hotel at the end. You can see Marty below in the Gertrude Stein room with rose lamp.

By the way, the beautiful baby on her book is her very own daughter, Ruby. How fantastic is that?

There's a fantastic interview with Li-Young Lee by Tina Chang at Poets.org

Here's a bit from it--

I think that there's nothing more you can do than to make art. To write poems. And I came to the conclusion that aesthetic awareness—or aesthetic consciousness or aesthetic presence—is the only possible ethical presence we have. And so I went from thinking that the practice of aesthetics was a complete waste of time to thinking that aesthetic awareness is the most complete form of awareness we have.
